Campaign
A Campaign is the top-level container for one story. Everything else in Wyrdli, the people, the places, the Secrets, the Sessions, lives inside exactly one Campaign.
Session
A Session is one sitting at the table. It anchors the date, the notes, the Recording, the Transcript, and the advancement that came out of the night.
Character
A Character is the mechanical record sheet a player owns. Attributes, advancement points, strikes. The Discord slash commands operate on this.
NPC
An NPC is a character you drive. They carry Goals, those Goals become the Threats the party faces, and almost everything else in your Campaign hangs off them.
PC
A PC is your narrative handle on a player's character. The player owns the Character sheet; you own the PC, and use it to wire the player into Scenes, relationships, Factions, and notes.
Location
A Location is a physical place in the story. Locations nest (a basement inside a house inside a city) and they're where Scenes happen and Clues live.
Faction
A Faction is a group of NPCs with shared interests. A guild, a noble house, a cult. Factions carry their own Goals and Threats.
Scene
A Scene is a unit of play that happens at a Location. It carries a Tension (often what an NPC wants), it's anchored to a place, and playing it can put new Clues in front of the party.
Knife
A Knife is a detail from a PC's backstory that you can use to make a Scene personal. Find knives pulls them out of the backstory; you use them by adding them to Scenes.
Clue
A Clue is a piece of evidence the party finds: a torn letter, a body, a story from an NPC. Clues lead the party from one place to another and point toward Secrets.
Secret
A Secret is one arc of your campaign. The whole hidden truth the party is gradually uncovering through clues.
Threat
A Threat is what an NPC or a Faction wants to do to the party. Threats come from Goals; you keep a pool of them and drop one in when the tempo calls for it.
Goal
A Goal is the standing want of an NPC or a Faction. Goals are the engine that produces Threats and the Tension that makes Scenes play.
Event
An Event is one line in a Character's advancement log. Every advancement point spent writes one Event.
Item
An Item is a narratively-significant object: an heirloom, a sealed letter, the smoking gun. Items can also be Clues; the Item is the thing, the Clue is what it represents.
Template
A Template is the default document for new entities of a given kind. Its content is a structured document of headings and italic AI-instructions; the AI fills the instructions when you ask it to.
Discord commands
Every slash command the Wyrdli Discord bot offers, grouped by what it does. Player commands are runnable by any player; GM commands are GM-only.
Keyboard shortcuts and search
Global search with Cmd+K, in-editor AI slash commands, @-mentions inside rich text, and the keyboard surface of the Play view.
Glossary
Every term Wyrdli uses, defined for the people using it. When two articles disagree, the glossary wins.
