Campaign
A Campaign is the top-level container for one story. Everything else in Wyrdli, the people, the places, the Secrets, the Sessions, lives inside exactly one Campaign.
A Campaign is the top-level container for one story. Everything else in Wyrdli, the people, the places, the Secrets, the Sessions, lives inside exactly one Campaign.
A Campaign is the lid on one story. It owns every other piece you make in Wyrdli: the PCs and NPCs, the Locations and Factions, the Secrets, the Sessions you play, and the Recordings that come out of them. One Campaign per story; one GM per Campaign.
Open the Campaigns list at /campaigns and click "+ New campaign". The editor opens. Fill in:
A name for the story. This is what you see in your Campaigns list and what the Discord bot prints when it echoes activity.
A description: the pitch, the tone, whatever you want your players to know going in. Players can read this; the GM-only material lives on individual Secrets.
A starting date in the fiction. Session dates anchor relative to this clock.
An optional Discord channel where the bot will post Session start, advancement, and recap announcements.
An optional Template to seed the Campaign's default entity content.
Save, and the Campaign joins your list.
The Campaign page is a workbench. Wyrdli prepares a campaign in four passes, and the page keeps you in the right one:
Worldbuilding makes the people, places and groups the players will meet. Three or four of each is plenty to start.
Plotting writes down what is secretly true, stages the Scenes where it can surface, and leaves Clues pointing at it.
Preparing checks what the party can actually reach from where they are, and that each of those Scenes has a place and someone pushing back.
Reviewing records what the party decided and what the world now owes them, then hands you back to Plotting.
The strip across the top shows the four stages and what each still needs; click one to work on it. Below it sits one line per task, with the button that does the work. A tick appears when the Campaign has what the task asks for, never by clicking it.
The rail on the side switches between the workbench, the plot you write for the Campaign and, when AI is on, your GM profile. Every list of entities (PCs, NPCs, Locations, Factions, Scenes, Secrets, Threats, Goals, Events, Items, Knives) is one click away in the sidebar, and two surfaces matter at run time:
Canvas for prep, opened from the Campaign's "Open canvas" button. The Secret selector at the top picks which arc you're working on.
Play view for the table, opened with Run session. This is what you actually drive during a sitting.
On Discord, /campaign create creates a Campaign on a server (the caller becomes the GM); /campaign check reports the active Campaign on the current server; /gm session set-channel picks where the bot posts.
