PC
A PC is your narrative handle on a player's character. The player owns the Character sheet; you own the PC, and use it to wire the player into Scenes, relationships, Factions, and notes.

A PC (Player Character) is the GM-side record of a player's character. The player owns the Character sheet (the attributes, the advancement points, the strikes); you own the PC, which is the handle you use to weave that character into the rest of your prep. The PC is internal to you: players see their Character, you see the PC, and the PC is how you attach a player to Scenes, relationships, Factions, and your own notes without ever touching the player's sheet.
A PC is created for you when a player joins the Campaign. Once they run /character create on Discord (or you add them through the web app), the system creates the Character and the matching PC together, and links the PC to the Campaign.
To open the PC and start filling it in:
Open the campaign's PCs tab. Every PC in the Campaign is listed there, one per player.
Click the PC to open its detail page.
Write a short paragraph in the description about the things you, the GM, want to remember: who in the town owes them a favour, what secret of theirs you're holding for later, what hooks you've planted on their behalf.
Link the PC to anything in the Campaign it should be tied to: NPCs who know them, Locations they're rooted in, Factions they belong to, Items they've been given or owe.
The PC is most useful as a connector. When you write a Scene, drop the relevant PC into the Scene's involved characters so you remember who the moment is aimed at. When you sketch an NPC's Goal, name the PC the Goal cuts against; that's how a Goal turns into a Threat with a target. When you draft a Clue, link it to the PC who's most likely to chase it, so you can surface it to that player's hook during play.
The PC also gives you a stable place to write campaign-specific notes about a player's character that don't belong on the sheet: a debt nobody's collected on yet, a name they buried in a Boston graveyard, the lie they told the Alderman in session two. The player doesn't see this; you do.
The PC's page also has a Knives tab, for the backstory details you can turn on this character. Write the backstory into the PC's description, then click Find knives to turn it into Knives, or add them by hand. Players never see the tab. See the Knife article.
