Threat
A Threat is what an NPC or a Faction wants to do to the party. Threats come from Goals; you keep a pool of them and drop one in when the tempo calls for it.

A Threat is something an NPC or a Faction wants to do to the player characters, usually because of who the PCs are, what they've done, or what they know. Threats are normally derived from Goals: when a Goal puts an actor in opposition to the party, the Threat is the specific harm or pressure they bring.
You keep a pool of prepared Threats and drop one into a Scene, or between Scenes, when the tempo calls for it. That's how Wyrdli replaces random encounters: not "roll on a table", but "pick the Threat that fits this moment". Without Threats, the game has no tempo.
Open the Campaign's Threats tab and click "+ Add Threat". The editor opens. Fill in:
A title that names the Threat as a thing you can pick from a list. Action-shaped is best: "The cult tails the party", "The Alderman makes a phone call".
A description: what the Threat does when it lands, what it looks like at the table, what the party feels.
A severity, your hint to yourself about how heavy this lands.
A status, where the Threat is right now (pending, manifested, resolved).
The source Goals the Threat is generated by. Drives where the pressure traces back to.
The NPCs carrying it out.
The Scenes where the Threat is most likely to manifest, if you've already mapped that.
In prep, the Threats tab and the Threat detail page are where you shape the pool. In play, open the Play view with "Run session"; the right column lists the active and pending Threats for the Campaign. When the table goes quiet, or a Scene needs a beat of pressure, pick a Threat from the pool and manifest it. Mark it resolved when the moment passes.
Threats also surface in the Canvas as the connective tissue between Factions, Goals, and the Scenes where they're most likely to play. Use the Canvas to audit which Goals don't yet have Threats, and which Threats don't yet have a Scene to land in.
