Keep your own notes in a notebook
Every campaign you run or play gives you a private notebook. Write entries, link them to anything in the campaign with @, and tick them off when they are done. Only you can read them.

The session ended an hour ago and you still remember the innkeeper flinching when someone mentioned the mill. Nobody else at the table noticed. Write it in your notebook, type @ to link the innkeeper, and next week the note is waiting for you on his page.
One notebook for each campaign you run or play. You never create it. It is there the first time you open it.
As many notebooks of your own as you want, outside any campaign. Use them for house rules, a character idea or the next campaign.
Only you can read your entries. The GM can't, the other players can't, and the AI never sees them.
Sample campaigns and the demo have no notebook.
Inside a campaign, open My notebook from the campaign menu.
To see every notebook you have, click Notebooks in the main sidebar. The list shows each notebook's campaign, how many entries it has and when it last changed.
Click New entry. The entry starts with today's date and time on the first line, and the cursor sits on the line below.
Write. It saves as you type, so there is no save button.
The first line becomes the entry's title in the list on the left. Keep the date, or replace it with something you will recognise later ("The innkeeper flinched").
Type @ to link something from the campaign: an NPC, a location, a clue, a session. Linking it puts the entry on that thing's page.
Pages in the campaign have a My notebook group in their left column. It lists your entries that mention the page. The New entry linked to … button starts a new entry that already mentions it.
Players get the group on NPCs, locations, factions, items, clues, events and sessions.
The GM also gets it on secrets, scenes, threats, goals and every other page they prep.
No one else sees your entries there. When another player opens the same NPC, they see their own entries or nothing.
Some entries are to-dos: a question for the GM, a lead to follow, something to buy in town. Click Mark as done in the entry's header when you have dealt with one. It stays in the list, greyed out and struck through. Mark as not done brings it back.
In a campaign you play, your notebook also lists every session that has party notes or your own notes. They sit in date order among your entries. Each session shows:
the party notes
your own notes
a link to the session page
You can edit both notes here. They are the same notes as on the session page, not copies. A session with no notes on it doesn't appear.
Players can link anything the GM has shared with them (clues, items, NPCs, locations, factions and events), plus every session and character.
The GM can link anything in the campaign.
If the GM stops sharing something you linked, the link is hidden. If they share it again, the link comes back. Your text is never changed.
Notebooks outside a campaign have no @ links.
If you leave a campaign, or it is deleted, you keep the notebook. It is marked No longer in this campaign and its links stop working. From then on you can rename it or delete it. You can't delete a campaign notebook while you are still in the campaign. Deleting a notebook deletes all its entries.
