A Location is a physical place: a city, a house, a single room. Anywhere a Scene can happen is a Location. Locations nest, so the map of a Campaign grows the way a real one does, with the cannery sitting inside the harbour district sitting inside the town.
A Location can hold Clues and anchor Scenes. The same Location can host more than one Scene over the life of an arc; those Scenes normally happen at different times, not simultaneously.
Open the Campaign's Locations tab and click "+ Add Location". The editor opens. Fill in:
A name for the place. This is what shows up in the Locations list and as the node label on the Canvas.
A description: what's here, what it looks like, what the party should notice on arrival.
An optional parent Location if this place sits inside another (a basement's parent is the tavern, the tavern's parent is the town).
An optional map artwork to use as the Location's image.
You can also create a Location right on the Canvas: right-click empty space and pick "Add Location".
Locations are the nodes of the Canvas. Drag one onto the surface to place it, and the Clues that mention it become lines linking it to other Locations. Drop a Scene onto a Location to anchor it there. The Canvas's Secret selector controls which arc you're laying out; the same Location can appear in many arcs.
On a Location's detail page you see every Scene anchored there, every Clue contained there, and the child Locations nested inside it. Edit any of those relationships from the inline editor.
