Prep situations, not plots

Wyrdli is the campaign manager built around how great tables actually play: a web of scenes, NPCs, secrets and clues your players can enter from any side — run live on Discord, and remembered from what actually happened, not from what you planned.

Wyrdli is rolling out gradually — join the list and we'll send your invitation.

The method

Built on an opinion about how campaigns work

Most campaign tools are encyclopedias: they hold your lore and wait. Wyrdli is built on a way of prepping — one that assumes your players will surprise you, and makes that the plan.

Situations, not scripts

You don't write what will happen — you prep who's there, what they want, and what's true. A scene in Wyrdli is a live situation with stakes, not a page of a plot your players haven't agreed to.

No load-bearing clue

Anything the players must discover is reachable from more than one direction. Wyrdli wires each secret to the scenes, NPCs and places that can reveal it — so a missed roll or a skipped room never stalls the campaign.

The table writes the story

Wyrdli never decides for your players and never writes their characters' actions or thoughts. The campaign record is what actually happened at the table — not what the prep said should happen.

Prep

Wire the conspiracy, not the chapter order

Scenes, NPCs, factions, secrets and clues connect on one canvas — a web your players can enter from any side. Because every secret shows exactly which clues point at it and who carries them, you can see a dead end in prep, before your table finds it in play.

  • Scenes as situations: the place, the people, what they want, what can go wrong
  • Each secret backed by several clues and carriers — no single point of failure
  • Factions, threats and consequences with agendas that advance whether or not the party looks

Run

When the players go sideways, follow them

The web is your safety net at the table. Whatever your players chase, the NPC in front of them already knows its secrets, its connections and what it can reveal — so improvising stays grounded in what's true. Meanwhile Wyrdli records the session on Discord and rolls the dice in your channel.

  • The active scene with its NPCs, secrets and clues one glance away
  • Any entity's full web on hand when the party takes the unexpected road
  • Discord voice recording, transcription and dice rolls, captured as you play

At the table

Your table plays on Discord. So does Wyrdli.

Wyrdli isn't a second screen you have to remember to feed. It sits in your Discord server, plays the session with you, and walks away carrying the record.

Record, transcribe, recap

Start recording from your voice channel. Wyrdli captures the session, transcribes it, and drafts the recap from what was actually said — the session itself becomes the campaign's memory, no note-taker required.

Dice rolls in your channel

Roll straight from Discord with system-aware results — hard and extreme successes and pushed rolls for Call of Cthulhu, advantage and modifiers for D&D — and every roll lands in the session record.

Character sheets built in

System-agnostic at heart, with real record sheets for Call of Cthulhu 7e and D&D 5e (2024): stats, skills and advancement, playable from Discord and always in sync with the campaign.

Know who's coming before you prep

How many evenings have you spent chasing players in the group chat, only to cancel an hour before? Wyrdli asks them for you on Discord, nudges whoever stays silent, and the day before tells you if enough people are coming to play. Your prep goes into sessions that happen.

Remember

The campaign remembers what actually happened

Recaps and debriefs are written from the transcript of your table — not from your prep notes. Months later, Wyrdli still knows which clue was actually found, which secret is still buried, what each faction has done since, and exactly where the party stands.

  • Session recaps and debriefs drawn from real play, not intentions
  • Found and unfound clues tracked across the whole campaign
  • A debrief that states exactly where the party is when you sit back down

Schedule

The next session organises itself

Ask GMs what kills campaigns and the answer is always the same: scheduling. Wyrdli knows when your group plays, puts a real date on the next session and asks every player on Discord two days before. You stop chasing the silent ones, and the day before you know whether you have enough people to run.

  • A weekly or fortnightly rhythm that dates the next session for you
  • Players answer with one button in Discord, or on the campaign page
  • A summary for you the day before, a ping in your channel two hours before

AI assistant

An assistant, not an autopilot

Wyrdli's AI works from your campaign, on your terms, on a monthly credit allowance. It never plays your players' characters and it never takes the story out of your hands.

Recaps from the transcript, not your notes

After each session, Wyrdli drafts the recap from what was actually said at the table — which clue was found, which secret was touched, what the party decided and what it left hanging.

Clues that fit the web

When a secret is thin on routes, Wyrdli suggests clues that fit it — grounded in the NPCs, places and scenes you already have. You accept, rewrite or discard; nothing enters the campaign without you.

It never touches the players

A hard rule, not a setting: Wyrdli's AI never writes a player character's actions, words or thoughts. It works on the world you own — never on the story your table is telling.
