A Session is one play sitting. It's mainly an anchor for what happened that night: the Recording, the Transcript, the AI recap, and the advancement the Characters earned. You can also write standalone notes on it (preview, themes, prep), but a Session with no notes still does its job by anchoring the play log.
Open the Campaign's Sessions tab and click "+ New session". The editor opens. Fill in:
A date for when the Session happens or happened.
Optional notes: anything you want recorded for the night. Players can see these; keep prep-only material in the Secret or the Scene description instead.
Sessions also get created automatically when the Discord bot's /recording start opens a Recording on a Campaign that has no active Session.
The Session detail page is where the play log lives. From it you can:
Read or edit the notes.
Open the Recording (if there is one) for its Transcript and audio stems.
Click Generate Recap once the Session is closed and the Transcript is ready. The AI writes a narrative summary, a debrief, and a list of advancement Events.
See the Events created that night, one row per advancement point spent.
To end a Session and trigger the recap, the GM runs /gm session end on Discord. That closes the Session, grants one advancement point to every Character present, and kicks off the recap if a Recording was made. /gm session show reports the current Session for the active Campaign.
